Asian Marching Boys (AMB) strives to promote the visibility of Asian gay men in Australia by encouraging active participation in mainstream gay and lesbian cultural and social events, with the joint aims of promoting a positive image and fostering cultural harmony and community integration. AMB achieves it's aims by hosting numerous activities and staging various events, including:

  1. •The Asian Marching Boys float in the annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.

  2. •The much anticipated Exposed and Faces of Asia parties at The Midnight Shift, Sydney.

  3. •World Series Cuisine dinner parties and other social events.

Our most recent event was the POPTARTS party at The Midnight Shift, Sydney.


If you didn't get to see it, Poptarts was a fabulous success, with nothing short of rave reviews coming in from all around. Our special guests, DJ Juri and Miss Tiffany were truly amazing. DJ Juri spun some of her unique and incredibly earthy tribal beats, while Miss Tiffany had the audience enraptured with all her acts, usurping the lady herself in her final athletic appearance as Madonna. We all had a hard job working out if it was actually Madonna or still Tiffany!


Contributing to Poptarts with truly awesome and stunning performances, Kiki Fetch, assisted by Sue Nami and Sara Lee, led the AMB dancers (Minh, Danny, Joel & Marc) through some electric and sexy routines. The moves were incredible, showcasing the depth of talent and dedication that is the foundation of AMB. Adding to the night's success were of course our Committee (David, Minh, John, Xiong, Solomon & of course, Kiki), our crew (Shane - photography & Rooy - video), and of course, our favourite and ever-so-wonderful DJ, Shigeki. We also must thank The Midnight Shift management and staff for their huge contributions.
